Ordering & delivery

We are launching in Awka, Anambra State, and expanding across the state from there. Set your delivery address at the top of the app and you will only ever see kitchens that actually deliver to it — if none do yet, you can join the waitlist for your area and we will email you the day we switch it on.

Most orders arrive in 25 to 45 minutes. Each kitchen publishes its own prep time on its page, and the rider's trip is added to that. Traffic, weather and how busy the kitchen is all move the number, so the time you see at checkout is an honest estimate rather than a promise.

Yes. From the moment you pay, your order page shows every stage live — the kitchen accepting it, the food being prepared, a rider picking it up, and the delivery itself. You do not need to refresh; the page updates itself as each stage lands.

It is how we prove your food reached you and nobody else. Every order carries a one-time code shown on your order page. Read it out to the rider only once the food is physically in your hands — never in advance, and never over the phone before they arrive.

Not in a single order. Each order goes to one kitchen, because one kitchen cooks it and one rider carries it from that kitchen's door to yours. Adding a dish from a different restaurant will offer to start a fresh tray for you.

You can cancel free of charge any time before the kitchen starts cooking, and you are refunded in full. Once the vendor has accepted and begun preparing your food, the order can no longer be cancelled — the ingredients are already committed.

Somebody must be reachable at the delivery address. Riders call the number on the order and wait a reasonable time. If they cannot reach anybody, the order may be closed without a refund, since the food has already been cooked and carried.

Payments & refunds

Foodprint is prepaid. You pay in full through Paystack before the kitchen starts cooking, using a card, a bank transfer or USSD. We never see or store your card details — Paystack handles them end to end.

No. Prepaid ordering is what lets a kitchen start cooking the moment it accepts, and it is what protects riders from carrying cash across the city. It is not something we plan to change.

The total you see at checkout is the total you pay. It is made up of the food subtotal, the delivery fee for the distance to your address, and a small service fee. We calculate all of it on our own servers from the kitchen's live menu prices, so nothing can be quietly changed between the tray and the bank.

In full and automatically whenever a kitchen cannot accept your order — because it is closed, out of stock or unreachable — and whenever you cancel before cooking starts. If your food does not arrive, arrives in an unacceptable state, or is materially different from what you ordered, contact us within 24 hours and we will investigate with the vendor and rider.

The refund leaves us immediately, but it settles back to your original payment method in 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. Nothing on our side is holding it during that window.

For restaurants

There is no fee to list. We take a commission on each order we bring you, and nothing on the orders we do not. The exact rate is in the vendor agreement you accept during onboarding, before you ever publish a menu.

No — and this is the whole point. Most kitchens cook far better than they run logistics. Cook the food, mark it ready, and a verified Foodprint rider is dispatched to collect it. You never hire, insure or dispatch a rider yourself.

Order money is settled to the bank account you verify at onboarding, on a published payout schedule. Every naira that moves through an order is recorded in a ledger you can see, so a payout can always be traced back to the orders that made it up.

Both. Home cooks are a first-class part of the marketplace, not an afterthought. Registered businesses provide their registration details; home kitchens verify identity and pass the same food-safety and kitchen review.

Usually a few days. You submit your kitchen details, photos and bank account, and our team reviews them. You can build your full menu while the review is running, so you go live the moment you are approved.

For riders

You must be at least 18, have a working bike, a smartphone, a valid means of identification and a guarantor. Every rider is physically verified by our team before their account is activated — there is no way to skip that step.

Go online in the app and nearby orders are offered to you one at a time, each with the pickup, the drop-off and what it pays. You have sixty seconds to accept or decline, and declining costs you nothing.

Every completed delivery adds its fee to your earnings balance, visible in the app the moment you hand the food over. Balances are paid out to your verified bank account on the published schedule.

Never. Every order is paid for online before you collect it. You carry food, not money — which is exactly why we built it prepaid.

Account, privacy & support

No. You can browse kitchens, search dishes and fill a tray as a guest. An account is only required at checkout, because an order needs somebody to deliver to and somebody to refund.

Only the rider carrying your order, and only while they are carrying it — access ends when the order is delivered. The kitchen sees your first name and what you ordered, never your address. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

No. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for third-party advertising. Analytics cookies only run if you accept them in the banner, and you can change that at any time.

Email privacy@foodprint.com.ng and we will action it within 30 days. Records that Nigerian tax and financial law requires us to keep — completed orders and their payments — survive the deletion; everything else is removed or anonymised.

Email hello@foodprint.com.ng within 24 hours of the delivery, with your order code. We investigate with both the kitchen and the rider, and where we find in your favour we refund to your original payment method.

Still stuck?Write to us with your order code and a person — not a bot — will read it.hello@foodprint.com.ng
